C.T. Hamilton’s Perpetual Odyssey

Perpetual Odyssey is a concept I’ve had in my head for a LONG time. I’ve always thought it would manifest itself as a book, but at the time of writing, I’ve recently discovered a few tools for making old school Nintendo games. I was going to make an NES game based on G.F.O.R.C.E. but I very quickly started to feel limited both by the tools I was using and the subject I’d chosen. I’m doing G.F.O.R.C.E. as a comic book, why bother adapting it? So I decided to change and work on a totally new IP, using a different toolset. Thus, C.T. Hamilton’s Perpetual Odyssey for the Game Boy was born! You can play it on itch.io by clicking the widget at the bottom, or buy a physical Game Boy cartridge (COMING SOON!)     C.T. Lenard The Rat

This one was a bunch of fun, but it’s kind of a long story. The important bit of it is that I was asked by friend to draw a cartoon rat based on a mutual friend, who goes by “Lenard The Rat.”

G.F.O.R.C.E. #1 Completed Product

Here it is! The Final Product! G.F.O.R.C.E. #1 in all its glory! In total, this project probably took hundreds of hours, but ultimately the real number is unknowable. The script, logos, and colors (except on the covers) were all done by yours truly! Black and white line art, full color cover art, and the lettering was done by Sam Purata (@superpapersam on Instagram). Once all of the individual pages were complete, I had to assemble them into a PDF. That makes it easier on the printer that I used, as well as also being the only format that comiXology will accept a submission as. You can find the final printed comic book at gravitycomics.net, in digital form on comiXology, or scroll down to read it here in my portfolio free-of-charge.

This is another Gravity Comics / G.F.O.R.C.E. project. This logo was also meant to be simple, the only real stand-out thing being the globe inside the O. This project took around an hour. The logo and the globe can be made to be any color. I’ve included a few examples from G.F.O.R.C.E. #1.

Gravity Comics is my own personal Comic Book publishing company created currently for the sole purpose of publishing G.F.O.R.C.E. I wanted to keep this logo simple, but also make it very versatile and still convey the meaning of “gravity.” As you can see in the second image, the box can be stretched to fit any constraint and even hold information if need be. The only hard limit is that the word Gravity must always be at the bottom of the box.

This was a fun project. A group of friends was getting ready to put out an album and was toying with the idea of releasing it on cassette. I offered my services in exchange for a copy of the album and two t-shirts.
